He curates the Short Documentary Competition and selects short films for Best of Fests, Signed, Frontlight, and Luminous sections. He also works on IDFA on Stage, a program that explores intersections between documentary, performance, and new media. Before that he worked on IDFA's Music Documentary program and concert series in collaboration with the Melkweg music venue. Emerging from Iran's underground art scene, her work explores the body as a site of political inscription, trauma, and resistance. She often collaborates with women in participatory film processes, using personal narratives to interrogate structures of gender, censorship, and memory.
