Following the review of submissions received for WTD! 2026, the festival has decided to revise its competition structure in order to better reflect the range and number of works submitted this year, while creating greater opportunities for documentary films from across Asia.
This adjustment aims to maintain the quality and integrity of the competition while ensuring that outstanding films from diverse cultural and geographical contexts can be presented within the most appropriate framework.
The revised competition sections for WTD! 2026 are as follows:
หลังจากการพิจารณาผลงานที่ส่งเข้าร่วมเทศกาล WTD! 2026 ในปีนี้ คณะผู้จัดงานได้ตัดสินใจปรับโครงสร้างสายประกวด เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับลักษณะและจำนวนผลงานที่ได้รับ รวมถึงเพื่อเปิดพื้นที่ให้กับภาพยนตร์สารคดีจากภูมิภาคเอเชียมากยิ่งขึ้น
การปรับเปลี่ยนดังกล่าวมีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อรักษามาตรฐานของการแข่งขัน และสร้างโอกาสให้ภาพยนตร์ที่มีความโดดเด่นจากบริบทที่หลากหลายได้เข้าร่วมการประกวดอย่างเหมาะสม
โครงสร้างสายประกวดใหม่สำหรับ WTD! 2026 มีดังนี้
While there will be no separate Thai Documentary Competition this year, Thai documentary films remain an important part of the festival and will continue to be showcased alongside works from across Asia and around the world through the festival’s screenings and programs.
WTD! sincerely thanks all filmmakers for sharing their work with us and looks forward to continuing to foster dialogue, exchange, and discovery through documentary cinema.
แม้จะไม่มีสายประกวดสารคดีไทยในปีนี้ แต่ภาพยนตร์ไทยยังคงเป็นส่วนสำคัญของเทศกาล และจะได้รับการนำเสนอเคียงข้างผลงานจากภูมิภาคเอเชียและนานาชาติผ่านการคัดเลือกฉายและกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ของเทศกาล
