สถานสงเคราะห์ศพแห่งหนึ่งในไต้หวันเก็บรักษาร่างของเด็กที่เสียชีวิต ซึ่งพ่อแม่ได้หายตัวไปหรือไม่สามารถติดตามตัวได้ด้วยเหตุผลต่าง ๆ ร่างของเด็กเหล่านี้ถูกเก็บไว้ในตู้แช่ศพ บางครั้งยาวนานนับปี จนกระทั่งสถานประกอบพิธีศพจัดพิธีส่งดวงวิญญาณให้ บ้านและม้ากระดาษถูกเผาเป็นเครื่องอุทิศ เพื่อร่วมเดินทางเคียงข้างเด็ก ๆ ในการเดินทางอันเดียวดายสู่โลกหลังความตาย
A mortuary in Taiwan stores the bodies of deceased children whose parents, for whatever reason, have disappeared. Their remains are kept at the top of a freezer, sometimes for years, until the funeral home organizes a ceremony. Houses and horses made of paper are burned to accompany the children on their solitary journey to the afterlife.

Biography
An Chu สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับปริญญาโทสาขาภาพยนตร์ (MFA Film) จากมหาวิทยาลัยโคลัมเบีย และเคยเข้าร่วมโครงการ Locarno Filmmakers Academy ภาพยนตร์สั้นเรื่อง The Stag ของเขาได้รับรางวัล International Fiction Short Film Jury Award จากเทศกาลภาพยนตร์ซันแดนซ์ ปี 2024 และยังได้รับคัดเลือกให้ฉายในเทศกาล Visions du Réel และเทศกาลภาพยนตร์โลการ์โน ผลงานภาพยนตร์สั้นล่าสุดของเขา Paper Houses and Horses ได้รับคัดเลือกเข้าสู่สายประกวด IDFA Competition for Short Documentary ประจำปี 2025 ปัจจุบันเขากำลังพัฒนาภาพยนตร์ขนาดยาวเรื่องแรกของตนในชื่อ Game of Replacing Gods.
An Chu is a graduate of the MFA Film program at Columbia University and a participant in the Locarno Filmmakers Academy. His short film The Stag won the International Fiction Short Film Jury Award at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, and was also selected for Visions du Réel and the Locarno Film Festival. His latest short film, Paper Houses and Horses, was selected for the 2025 IDFA Competition for Short Documentary. He is currently developing his first feature film, Game of Replacing Gods.
