At the age of 21, my father hands me an envelope containing a family secret. Twenty years later, I attempt to untangle the lies and the things left unsaid that have shaped both my life and the lives of my family.

Anaël Dang is a writer-director, cinematographer, editor, and photographer whose work explores intimacy as a space of tension between the individual and society. His cinema examines what remains unspoken, creates space for voices to be liberated, and transforms first-person narrative into a dialogue with “the self as another.”
